Born in 2002 in Romania, Sebastian Galin is one of the youngest photographers to make it in the local and international fashion industry. At the age of 16, he was already pre-selected for the "A New Renaissance"-themed PhotoVogue Festival. He has thus far realized editorials for Vogue Portugal, Vogue Italia, Elle Romania, Forbes Life, Vanity Teen, Flanelle and others, while still curating a portfolio of over 250 pictures on PhotoVogue by vogue.com. By the age of 20, he will have already realized a cover photoshoot for the printed Vanity Teen magazine.
In terms of vision, Sebastian's motivation as an artist is to depict people at the delicate crossroads between fragility and strength. In this process, he uses fashion as a means to endow his photos with a contextualized asset, which he combines with subtle Renaissance influences. Human emotions are the cornerstone of each and every visual story he creates, hence playfulness, estrangement, loneliness, mystery, calm, madness are constantly at the core of his work. To him, each and every photoshoot is a brand-new plot he immerses into, as a way of connecting to his inner self and to the ideal world he envisages.
