Schanel Bakkouche is a French Editor, Stylist, and Creative Director based between New York and Paris.
Schanel is known for her distinctive, detail-oriented, and fashion-forward French aesthetic. She got her start in the industry at the French Vogue, followed by her tenure at the American Vogue in Paris. After her formative professional beginnings in Paris, Schanel moved to New York to work for Marie-Amelie Sauvé on fashion editorial photo shoots, and on consultancy for Louis Vuitton. Schanel took a position at Vogue America, working with Camilla Nickerson on editorial photo shoots, while also consulting for prominent brands, such as Calvin Klein, Nike, Alexander McQueen, and Sonia Rykiel. Within two years, Schanel became the Associate Editor at W Magazine, working closely with (now former) Creative Director, Edward Enninful, styling her own features for Condé Nast.
Since then, Schanel has led a wide range of creative projects, both digital and print, with a strong emphasis in fashion, for various publications and luxury brands. She routinely works and collaborates with top industry photographers, editors, and creatives.
