Inspired by painting and sculpture, and with abstraction at the heart of his practice, Michael James Fox’s photographs transform the familiar and quotidian into something intangible, intimate and multicoloured. His photographs both document and reimagine the people, places & objects that engage him.
Alongside photography, Fox has worked with moving image for over a decade. His early career was cultivated in skateboarding and required using mostly analog equipment, these early experimental techniques remain fundamental to his motion projects.
Fox was born in Bogota, Colombia and raised in New York.
