I do my best to live up to this ethos in all endeavors. These words were given to me by a friend and muse — and though they are tough to live by — they provide me with my drive and direction as a creator. They evoke the struggle inside me to to capture the expansive nature of my subjects through nuanced and up-close details. Through this interplay — and with the use of organic, minimal lighting — I am able to cultivate a raw connection and capture intense emotion, creating candid and honest portraits. I exercise my creative talents best in the fields of editorial, advertising and documentary work focusing on urban youth lifestyle, celebrity portraiture and assignment by publication.
