Lydia Metral (Grenoble, 1986), is a French self-taught
photographer with a Spanish background. She started her
profesional career in 2012 taking portraits of young actors
and covering events for the Paris City Hall. She also became
the assistant of French photographer Arnaud Meyer and
helped him mostly with commissioned portraits for the
press. In 2014 she made her way to Barcelona to study a
postgraduate degree in Photography and Editorial Design
in EINA (Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art de Barcelona)
in order to develop both her personal and artistic approach.
In 2018 she took a fashion photography course in FD School
(Barcelona). She is now working between Paris and Barcelona
and her clients include communication and production
agencies, brands and magazines. Her personal work has been
exhibited both in collective and solo shows around Europe.
