Raised in Minneapolis home immersed in the arts, Lauren Machen studied Studio Art & Psychology at Macalester College and Textiles at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Lauren has worked as a set designer over a decade creating sets for fashion, music, and advertising. Over the past year, Lauren has expanded her set design practice to include building immersive environments and creative direction. Her personal artwork explores issues of race, identity and mental health.

Lauren is currently based in Los Angeles.
