Born in Norway, Karina grew up close to nature, inspiring her early passion for photography. After completing a degree in photography she moved to London working as Sølve Sundsbø’s 1st assistant for four years.
Her work showcases a playful and spontaneous portrayal of subjects. Through sophisticated lighting and strong technical ability she creates expressive settings that illuminate modern-day beauty.
Karina has directed short films for Cacharel, Net a Porter, Space NK, Westfield, The Body Shop and Ashish. She has shot and directed for publications such as Dazed and Confused, Wonderland, Elle, Lampoon, Hunger, and Madame Figaro.
Splitting her time between London and Paris she travels frequently in particular South-East Asia where she has an on-going series of personal portraiture and landscape projects.
