Raised in the small town of Matias Barbosa, countryside of Brazil, photographer Higor Bastos began his career 15 years ago as the editor of the extinct "We Love Models", one of the pioneering and successful portals about models in Brazil and was soon hired by "FFW", where he became one of the editors for a few years. Everything he knows he has learnt from keen observation behind the scenes and most importantly, assisting important players in the industry. During the past 10 years he has worked as a fashion photographer, building his own brand as a creative voice with a sense of clarity and direction.
Higor's work has been featured in "Vogue", "GQ", "Rolling Stone", "Elle", "Glamour", "Harper's Bazaar", "Marie Claire"and "L'Officiel", as well as more than 700 shop windows in South Africa (Woolworths, Spitz, Truworths, American Swiss, and more), during his 6 year residency in Cape Town. His extensive list of clients includes global brands such as Prada, Carolina Herrera, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Levi's, Fila and many Brazilian, European, Asian and South African brands.
