Emma Dalzell-Khan is a London-based director and photographer known for producing diverse, cinematic and intimate work. Blending different film techniques, analogue formats, stop-frame animation and a natural interest in human movement, Emma’s sensitive approach creates inspiring, emotive and playful work.
Emma began her career assisting the celebrated fashion photographer Tim Walker and throughout a six-year period working alongside him, filmed across global locations including Outer Mongolia, Bhutan, Burma and Mexico, creating films of his stills shoots. Emma went on to develop her own unique style, shooting for clients including British Vogue, Italian Vogue and W Magazine. Tim and Emma continue their successful collaboration on selective projects, recently co-directing Bjork’s ‘Blissing Me’ music video as well as Anohni’s ‘One’.
Emma has recently directed films for the likes of Moncler (directing Grammy-award winner Will Smith), Kate Spade, Jo Malone London, MAC, Oscar de la Renta, Coach, Sephora, Hugo Boss, FILA, Clinique, Moda Operandi, LOVE, i-D, British Vogue and Another Man as well as personal editorial projects that include an acclaimed male dance fashion film for Middle Eastern fashion publication H Magazine - which has formed part of the official selection for the Milano Fashion Film Festival 2019.
