DeAndre da Costa is an emerging photographer born in Queens New York. The photographer began his career in 2008 shortly after College. Intrigued by campaigns and editorials alike, he took a step out on faith, purchased a Nikon camera and began shooting friends and family. Intrigued by afrocentism DeAndre began capturing models of color with an effortless and ethereal ease. DeAndre managed to capture the attention of top NYC modeling agencies and, that of Russel Simmons. Simmons would later go on to label him as the youngest African American fashion photographer in his online series " Leaders of the new school". Under the prodigious tutelage of renounced photographer Steven Klein, DeAndre would advanced to win acclaims for his signature photography style; which has been described as eclectic, conceptual, thought provoking and subversive. Taking on celebrity clients such as Beyoncé and Jay-z, and Major publications such as Bullett and Elle magazine; he has cemented himself as a fixture in Fashion photography. Always in demand by todays hottest tastemakers, DeAndre continues to inspire, challenge and provoke through his work.
