Crystabel Riley is a Make Up Artist involved in an increasingly uncompromising approach to ‘Green’ beauty. Using the cleanest ingredients, she focuses on make-up that multi-tasks as skincare. This informs her stylistic approach through working with clays, (mineral and vegetable) colour washes and playing with textural boundaries. She avoids mainstream make-up materials based on silicones, synthetic polymers and synthetic preservatives, only making exceptions when totally necessary. She has contributed to magazines such as CR Fashion Book, 10 Magazine, ID, Replica and Dazed Beauty, and also worked with celebrities such as ASAP Rocky, SZA and Jared Leto.
Crystabel has written and developed the first Eco-beauty course at the London College of Fashion with green beauty co-practitioner Louise Dartford.
