Danish photographer and director, Casper Sejersen, works in fashion, film, fine art, and commercial spaces. his work often portrays the complexity of human frailty and weaves a narrative around the psychology of sensuality.
Sejersen has contributed to numerous editorials over the past decade for international publications including AnOther, Dazed and Confused, Beauty Papers, Vogue, Dust, D Repubblica, Document Journal and Acne Papers as well as worked with fashion brands Alexander McQueen, Helmut Lang, Acne, Dries van Noten, Burberry, Gucci, Missoni, Kenzo, Fendi, Louis Vuitton and Dior. His approach to editorial and commercial work foregrounds a particular type of psychologically charged ‘muse’, working with talent including Harry Styles, Kate Moss, Tilda Swinton, Billie Eilish, Charlotte Gainsbourg, William Dafoe, Kirsten Dunst and Cate Blanchett.
Sejersen’s first solo exhibition in London, 'One, Two, Three, Four' at Cob gallery in Spring 2019, as well as his work exhibited at Photo London 2019. In 2024, Sejersen exhibited another solo show with original works ‘VIRGO’ at DEUSS Gallery in Antwerp. His ‘orgasm portraits’ of Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac (2013) cast were published in the book 'Belongs To Joe' in 2015 – a collection of photographic essays in collaboration with art historian Cecilie Høgsbro. Sejersen has also self-published a variety of zines, exhibitions, and merchandise. In 2024, he published a collection of work in collaboration with model, Ida Heiner, and Moon International 'IDA’ which is an ongoing creative project of his.
