Considered to be one of the most exciting and visionary colorists in the industry Aura Friedman is the mastermind behind every major color trend of the last decade. Her expertise and creativity in color is coveted by celebrities, designers and editors alike.

Aura’s trendsetting color work includes the creation of "splashlights" for Caroline Polachek, ombré for MIA, and pink hair for Lady Gaga. Her transformative color on Sky Ferreira, Soo Joo Park and Charlotte Carey helped propel their careers.

Her long list of professional honors began in the year 2000 when Allure Magazine named her Best Colorist in Miami Beach. She has since been included on Allure Magazine’s Rising Talent List (2012). She is the recipient of Elle Magazine’s Genius Award (2012) as well as Allure's Best Edgy Blonde (2016), Allure’s Best of Beauty (2015, 2014, 2013) and Elle’s Best of Beauty Instagram (2013) awards. She has also been featured on the Allure Experts Page (2015).

Aura has consulted for mega beauty brands such as Wella and Nexxus. She has keyed runway shows in New York for Peter Som and Cynthia Rowley. Her work appears in i-D, Dazed & Confused, Vogue Italia, V, Harper’s Bazaar, Allure & Teen Vogue magazines.

Fueled by her innovative talent and artistic vision as well as the increasing demand for original, web-based editorial content, Aura has most recently begun creative directing short film projects for Nowness.com, cementing her role as a Creative Director of Color.
