Creative processes are defined by collaboration and dialogue. For this reason, Maria Therese and Andreas Öhlund work together, pushing the boundaries of what fashion photography can be. Their different background and approaches – she being a creatively thinking autodidact, while he has developed along the more traditional route by working his way up as an assistant – complement one another in their daily work on image production. For them, fashion photography is less about reproducing generic concepts of beauty and more about enhancing an already existing sense of individuality, in order to bring out personal stories and make the world a more interesting place. They primarily work on portraits and fashion, but have also acted as creative consultants, including on the specific subject of lighting for fashion photography.
