Anyone who has ever been involved in fashion week knows that it’s largely comprised of minutes at a time of frenzied activity separated by tedious longueurs of passive waiting. Shows regularly run late, which means both editors and models spend hours a day sitting\u2014or standing, in the models’ cases\u2014in expectation for the main event. The castings process is much the same, as models rush around to dozens of appointments a day only to be confronted with long lines at every stop. As this season’s New York Fashion Week Men’s comes to a close and the pre-castings start gearing up for the women’s shows next week, photographer Eric White and stylist Donte McGuine captured some of the city’s favorite show boys in that in-between state, caught in quiet introspection as they patiently wait their turn.<\/p>\n
