After last seasons camping trip through the woods, General Idea designer Bumsuk Choi made a stop at the beach for Spring 2012. Nautical stripes made a number of appearances, as did bucket hats, boat shoes, and a myriad of bright colors perfect for a summer’s day at sea. The mood was light and playful, befitting the ’60s Riviera inspiration, with a leather jacket thrown in for a bit of edge. The short film of two boys playing in the surf\u2014shot in grainy black-and-white\u2014that ran before the show summed up the collection perfectly: easy, relaxed, and utterly charming.<\/p>\n
