Met Gala 2026 Reveals Theme Fashion Is Art<\/strong>
\nThe first Monday in May, better known as the Met Gala, returns with Costume Art<\/em> the spring exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art\u2019s Costume Institute. The theme has officially been announced, with this year\u2019s dress code titled Fashion Is Art.<\/em> Echoing the exhibition\u2019s focus on the \u201ccentrality of the dressed body,\u201d the show explores interpretations of the human form through works drawn from the Met\u2019s extensive collection. The prompt asks guests to consider the innovative ways designers treat the body as their canvas. The co-chairs for the 2026 Met Gala are Beyonc\u00e9, <\/a> Nicole Kidman,<\/a>Venus Williams,<\/a> and Anna Wintour<\/a>. The Gala Host Committee, co-chaired by Anthony Vaccarello<\/a> and Zo\u00eb Kravitz,<\/a> includes Sabrina Carpenter,<\/a> Doja Cat,<\/a> Gwendoline Christie,<\/a>Alex Consani,<\/a> Misty Copeland,<\/a> Elizabeth Debicki,<\/a> Lena Dunham,<\/a> Paloma Elsesser,<\/a> Lisa, <\/a> Chloe Malle,<\/a> Sam Smith,<\/a> Teyana Taylor,<\/a> Lauren Wasser,<\/a> Anna Weyant,<\/a> A’ja Wilson,<\/a> and Yseult, <\/a> with additional members Adut Akech,<\/a> Angela Bassett,<\/a> Sinead Burke,<\/a> Rebecca Hall,<\/a> Aimee Mullins,<\/a> Tschabalala Self<\/a>, Amy Sherald,<\/a> and Chase Sui Wonders.<\/a> As this year\u2019s lead sponsors of both the gala and the exhibition, Jeff Bezos and Lauren S\u00e1nchez Bezos will serve as honorary chairs.
