This season, Wu\u2019s artistic inspiration was on full display as he collaborated with Mary and David Martin from the non-profit MADWORKSHOP, creating a striking sculpture by artists Elise Co and Ben Borden, that models walked through. The idea for the installation stemmed from Wu\u2019s admiration for Chinese artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metmuseum.org\/exhibitions\/the-great-hall-commission-tong-yang-tze\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tong Yang-Tze<\/a>, who, at 82, is set to become the first Asian artist to create works for The Metropolitan Museum of Art\u2019s Great Hall Commission this November. Opening the show, <a href=\"\/\/models.com\/models\/He-Cong\">He Cong<\/a>, cast by <a href=\"https:\/\/models.com\/agency\/midland-casting\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Midland<\/a>, wore a screen-printed coat made from a material reminiscent of a painter\u2019s canvas. This canvas-like texture  recurred throughout the collection, complemented by lighter fabrics such as chiffon, muslin, and silk. Wu&#8217;s color palette mixed soft pastels with rich shades of inky black, snowy white, and monochromatic tones, offering both contrast and cohesion. Soft met sharp as floaty pleats, deconstructed dresses, and lace corsets were prominent, reflecting a sense of effortless sophistication that left a memorable mark.
