Clarks Taps Martine Rose as a Guest Designer<\/strong>
\nShoe manufacturer Clarks<\/a> has selected British Jamaican menswear designer Martine Rose<\/a> as its first guest designer. The conversation between Clarks and Rose began last year, leading to her visit to the company’s headquarters in Somerset. During her visit, she familiarized herself with the company’s rich history and the shoe production process at Clarks. Clarks shoes are a common staple in British households, often worn by children for school. With a focus on comfort, Rose incorporated her unique style into three shoe designs, using signature Clark elements such as loafers, Oxford shoes, and sandals. Tara McRae, chief marketing and digital officer at Clarks, said, \u201cMartine was top of our list of guest creative directors to partner with due to her unconventional approach to design and development and her British-Jamaican background, both of which are core to our brand.\u201d \u200b\u200b[WWD<\/a>]<\/p>\n
