Fashion Figures Celebrate Andr\u00e9 Leon Talley\u2019s Life At Tribute <\/strong>
\nJust ahead of MET Monday, industry icon and author Andr\u00e9 Leon Talley’s life is celebrated today at a private ceremony at the Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem. Each year, Andr\u00e9 Leon Talley brought vibrant energy to the MET Gala red carpet and will surely be missed. Talley, who passed in January at age 73, led new paths in the industry and inspired many with a decades-long career to prove for it as the first black creative director at Vogue along with editor positions at Interview Magazine, Women\u2019s Wear Daily, Ebony Magazine, and Vanity Fair. Rev. Dr. Calvin O. Butts III will officiate, with Valerie Simpson and the Abyssinian Baptist Church Choir performing. Marc Jacobs, Naomi Campbell, Bethann Hardison, Anna Wintour, and Carolina Herrera will pay tribute during the service. [WWD<\/a>]<\/p>\n
