Gucci is Back at Milan Fashion Week<\/strong>
\nAfter a few off-season shows, Gucci<\/a> is going back to its Milan Fashion Week roots next February. CEO Marco Bizzarri announced that the brand will make a comeback to the week-long affair and present its new collection during MFW this February. Seems like the luxury company is going back to showcasing during traditional fashion months, even though Alessandro Michele<\/a> stated last year that he would present seasonless collections on his own schedule, with three off-seasonal presentations, Epilogue, Aria, and Love Parade.[The Daily Front Row<\/a>]

Hanifa Debuts in DC<\/strong>
\nMaryland-based designer Anifa Mvuemba took buzzworthy brand Hanifa<\/a> to the nation’s capital for her debut runway show in Washington DC. As a CFDA\/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist<\/a> Mvuemba along with 9 other emerging designers and past CVFF finalists each received a grant of $50,000 towards developing their businesses. The National Portrait Gallery was the ideal setting for 400 guests including supporters like Pyer Moss<\/a>\u2019 Kerby Jean-Raymond<\/a> and recent CFDA Emerging Talent winner, Edvin Thompson<\/a> of Theophilio<\/a>. Mvuemba celebrated designing for a decade and brought in casting director Katherine Mateo<\/a> to help find local talent to lead the show. The independent designer has risen in fashion’s ranks since the viral Pink Label Congo digital show in May 2020<\/a> that rendered her creations on invisible avatars. [BOF<\/a>] <\/p>\n
