Emanuele Farneti Exits EIC Role at Vogue Italia <\/strong>
\nAfter less than four years, Vogue Italia and L\u2019Uomo Vogue editor-in-chief Emanuele Farneti<\/a> announced Thursday afternoon that he will be stepping down from his position after the September issue’s release, in a consolidating restructuring plan that has seen Vogue’s top editors from Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Japan, and India all removed. The editor previously helped launch in 1999 and then lead GQ Italy in 2015 as editor in chief before joining the Italian Vogue edition in 2017, succeeding the late Franca Sozzani’s<\/a> legacy. <\/p>\n

Conde Nast has promoted British Vogue EIC Edward Enninful<\/a> as European Editorial Director where he will oversee all of the owned and operated European Vogue titles, including Vogue Italia, and Vogue Taiwan\u2019s Leslie Sun will oversee India and Asia, with exceptions for Cond\u00e9 Nast\u2019s joint venture and licensee partners. There is no expected replacement for all these editor-in-chief positions and there’s more to come with EIC Mitsuko Watanabe of Vogue Japan leaving within the year<\/a>. The jury’s out on if these efforts of consolidation will be able to translate to different global perspectives but meanwhile at Vogue China Margaret Zhang’s<\/a> editorial team is taking shape as she hired a new fashion director<\/a> Audrey Hu<\/a>.
