British Vogue EIC Edward Enninful Racially Profiled at Conde Nast UK Offices<\/strong>
\nBritish Vogue<\/a>‘s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful<\/a> says he was racially profiled while entering Cond\u00e9 Nast’s London headquarters on Wednesday. On social media, Enniful described how he was turned away from the front door by a security guard and instructed to enter through the loading dock–which is for deliveries–at the rear of the Vogue House building. In 2017 Enninful became British Vogue’s first Black editor-in-chief. \u201cIt just goes to show that sometimes it doesn\u2019t matter what you\u2019ve achieved in the course of your life: the first thing that some people will judge you on is the colour of your skin,\u201d he wrote on Instagram. Cond\u00e9 Nast has since dismissed the guard, who worked for a third-party security contractor.<\/p>\n

Cond\u00e9 Nast moved quickly to dismiss the security guard, but it just goes to show that sometimes it doesn\u2019t matter what you\u2019ve achieved in the course of your life: the first thing that some people will judge you on is the colour of your skin.<\/a><\/p>\n
