Balmain’s CEO steps down<\/strong>
\nBalmain surprisingly announced this week that effective immediately its CEO, Massimo Piombini, is leaving the Parisian brand for personal reasons. Piombini joined the French brand after leaving his position at Valentino in April 2017 and no word on the specifics of his departure. A new CEO will be appointed to the company in February 2020.<\/p>\n

Bottega Veneta and Adut Akech Win Big <\/strong>
\nBritish Fashion Council had much to celebrate for The Fashion Awards this year as 4,000 guests, veterans and devotees alike, descended to Royal Albert Hall this past Monday. The biggest winners? Daniel Lee<\/a> of Bottega Veneta<\/a> swept the ceremony winning British Designer of the Year in Womenswear, Accessories Designer of the Year, Brand of the Year and Designer of the Year. Adut Akech also won Model of the Year while Kim Jones won British Designer of the Year in Menswear for Dior Men, accepted by Donatella Versace no less.<\/p>\n
