Interview Magazine Folds<\/strong>
\nSad news of Interview Magazine<\/a> folding broke this week as word came from former editors that the tome started by Andy Warhol had numerous financial obligations that have gone unpaid. In February, staff was evicted from its New York headquarters after Brant Publications had not paid rent for several months, and just this past month former editorial director Fabien Baron<\/a>, his wife and stylist, Ludivine Poiblanc<\/a> and former creative director, Karl Templer<\/a> sued for an estimated $880,000 in backed wages. Carven files for bankruptcy<\/strong>
\nAnd the financial woes continue as French house Carven<\/a> has filed for the French equivalent of Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Brand owner Beranger Group is seeking a new buyer and to be placed in receivership by the Paris Commercial Court after years of dwindling sales since the departure of Guillaume Henry<\/a> in 2014. The closing of its New York outpost, canceling of its men’s line, and severe delays of Spring 2018 deliveries to retailers seemed to be the final nails in the fiscal coffin. [WWD<\/a>] <\/p>\n

Gucci joins Paris Fashion Week this fall<\/strong>
\nKeeping us all on our toes, Milanese powerhouse Gucci<\/a> plans to show its Spring 2019 collection in Paris this September. Owned by French shareholder, Kering, this will mark the second time the brand has chosen to show on French soil with its resort 2019 show happening in Arles next Wednesday. [WWD<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Raf Simons Moving Mens Show Back to Paris<\/strong>
\nAnd Alessandro isn’t the only one partaking in the French Renaissance as Raf Simons is also slated to move his men’s show to Paris this Summer. While Simons has continuously shown in Paris in the past, it will certainly be a big blow to an already decreasing calendar for fashion week stateside with designers like Altuzarra, Rodarte, Thom Browne, and Proenza Schouler skipping out on the Big Apple.
