Olivier Rousteing Exits Balmain<\/strong>
\nAfter 14 years, Olivier Rousteing<\/a> is stepping down as creative director of Balmain<\/a>. Rousteing joined the house in 2009 to head its studio under then creative director Christophe Decarnin. In 2011, he made history when he was named creative director at the age of 25, becoming the first Black designer to lead a French fashion house. Reflecting on his tenure, he said, \u201cI am deeply proud of all that I\u2019ve accomplished, and profoundly grateful to my exceptional team at Balmain, my chosen family, in a place that has been my home for the past 14 years. My thanks go to Mr. Rachid Mohamed Rachid and [chief executive officer] Matteo Sgarbossa for their unwavering belief in me and for entrusting me with this extraordinary opportunity,\u201d he continued. \u201cAs I look ahead to the future and the next chapter of my creative journey, I will always hold this treasured time close to my heart.\u201d [WWD<\/a>]<\/p>\n
