Alberta Ferretti Taps Lorenzo Serafini<\/strong>
\nAlberta Ferretti<\/a> has appointed Lorenzo Serafini<\/a> as its new creative director, succeeding the brand’s namesake founder, who announced her departure last month. Serafini’s first collection for the brand will debut in February. He joined the group in 2014 when Ferretti entrusted him with the design reins of the Philosophy<\/a> label. Ferretti, who is also vice president of Aeffe, stated, \u201cI am thrilled to announce that Lorenzo will be my successor at the helm of the brand that bears my name. With the fashion world undergoing tremendous change, I strongly believe that Lorenzo has the creativity, strong aesthetic sense, professionalism and expertise required to meet this challenge.\u201d As part of a new strategy, the Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini brand will be integrated into the Alberta Ferretti line starting with the fall 2025 season. The news boosted Aeffe’s shares in Milan, with the stock rising 3.34% to 86 cents by the close of trading. Serafini joined Aeffe, which also controls the Moschino and Pollini brands, after working as a womenswear designer at Dolce & Gabbana and in a similar role at Roberto Cavalli, where he succeeded Natalie Ratabesi. Serafini said, \u201cWith enthusiasm and deep gratitude, I embrace this opportunity the Ferretti family has offered me. I am honored that Alberta has chosen me as the successor to such a significant and prestigious legacy, and I will carry it forward with care as I begin a new chapter for the Alberta Ferretti brand.\u201d [WWD<\/a>]<\/p>\n
