What\u2019s your trademark?<\/strong><br \/>\nThat\u2019s always been a tricky question for me as I\u2019ve always tried to stay very versatile, but I\u2019ve realized through the years that I\u2019ve also always tried to stay true to what I like. <\/p>\n<p><strong>How did you get into your chosen career?<\/strong><br \/>\nI first really got into hair by necessity; back when I was a teenager, my mum wouldn\u2019t bring us to the hair salon because of the lack of options for textured hair, so I decided to pick up the clippers. I started doing it myself and my brother\u2019s hair because we wanted to look good! Then, I fell in love with the craft and started my hair journey.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>What have you watched\/heard\/read lately that has inspired you?<\/strong><br \/>\nThat\u2019s another tough question especially in these dark times we\u2019re experiencing, but for the past three years, I\u2019ve been digging a lot of history\/culture books to learn more about my own culture and others&#8217; southern\/ancient culture. I believe all the responses to our future already exist in our past, and learning that through books and a recent trip to Ethiopia, one of the most ancient cultures in our world was crazy, exciting, and inspiring.  I recommend it; it has helped me widen my horizons a lot. <\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you love about what you do?<\/strong><br \/>\nI love how, through the years, it allowed me to develop a freedom of expression by working alongside legendary talents that have inspired me a lot and traveling the world to challenge my perspective to come back to normality and put what I\u2019ve learned into my projects.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>What have been the biggest challenges you have faced professionally?<\/strong><br \/>\nI think it\u2019s dealing with this pressure we\u2019re all confronted with: time.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s one thing outside of your work that you would like people to know about you?<\/strong><br \/>\nI\u2019m a big book nerd.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Who do you think is one to watch?<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/models.com\/people\/louis-souvestre\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Louis Souvestre<\/a> is definitely one to watch. super happy to be part of this project as we went to Kenya for a week to discover the work of this incredible woman, Joan Otieno, who started looking after women in her<a
