The 2022 CFDA Fashion Award Nominees and Honorees Are Here<\/strong>
\nThe Council of Fashion Designers (CFDA<\/a>) has announced the nominees and honorees for the CFDA Fashion Awards, partnering with Amazon Fashion. The American Womenswear Designer of the Year nominees are Catherine Holstein<\/a> of Khaite, Christopher John Rogers<\/a>, who won in 2021, Gabriela Hearst<\/a>, Laquan Smith<\/a>, and Peter Do<\/a>. As for American Menswear designer of the year, the nominees are Emily Bode Aujla<\/a> for Bode<\/a> (the 2021 winner), Jerry Lorenzo<\/a> for Fear of God<\/a>, Mike Amiri<\/a> for Amiri<\/a>, Thom Browne<\/a>, and Willy Chavarria<\/a>. The American Accessory Designer of the year nominees are Aurora James<\/a> for Brother Vellies, Brandon Blackwood<\/a>, Raul Lopez<\/a> for Luar, Stuart Vevers<\/a> for Coach, and Telfar Clemens<\/a> for Telfar (the 2021 winner). For The American Emerging Designer of the Year, the nominees are Bach Mai<\/a>, Carly Mark<\/a> for Puppets and Puppets, Colm Dillane for KidSuper<\/a>, Elena Velez<\/a>, and Lauren Harwell Godfrey<\/a> for Harwell Godfrey. <\/p>\n

The Board of Trustees Award will go to the late Virgil Abloh<\/a> and Lenny Kravitz<\/a> will be awarded the CFDA\u2019s 2022 Fashion Icon. The Positive Social Influence Award goes to Slaysians from The House of Slay<\/a> that includes Prabal Gurung, Laura Kim, Phillip Lim, Tina Leung, and Ezra Williams. The Founder\u2019s Award, in honor of Eleanor Lambert, will be awarded to Andrew Bolton<\/a>, the Wendy Yu curator in charge of The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award will go to Laurie Lynn Stark<\/a> and Richard Stark of Chrome Hearts<\/a>. While, The Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard will go to Patti Wilson<\/a>, and The Environmental Sustainability Award will be presented to The United Nations and accepted by Amina J. Mohammed, United Nations deputy secretary-general. A new category has been added to the award show, the Stylist Award, that will go to Law Roach<\/a>. The ceremony will take place on November 7th at Casa Cipriani in Manhattan. [WWD<\/a>]<\/p>\n
