The Woolmark Prize Announces 2022 Finalists<\/strong>
\nOne of fashion\u2019s most prestigious awards the annual Woolmark prize is around the corner and the \u201822 finalists have been announced. The prize gives emerging designers the ability to create a collection made entirely of Australian merino wool and focusing on the theme \u201cplay\u201d while being transparent about supply chains. The new group of designers includes American designer Peter Do<\/a>, British brands Ahluwalia<\/a> and Saul Nash, Chinese brands Rui, along with South African womenswear brand MMUSOMAXWELL, French label EGONlab and Australian designer Jordan Dalah. CEO John Roberts described the designers as, \u201ccreative game-changers.\u201d The winners will be picked by a handful of industry mavens and are set to receive the main prize of AU$200,000 (US$144,000) and the Karl Lagerfeld Award for Innovation, worth AU$100,000 (US$72,000).
