Versace and Fendi Are Mashing Up<\/strong>
\nTwo heads are better than one in fashion this year and three marks a trend, what with Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons teaming up, a Balenciaga and Gucci “hacking”, and now Donatella and Kim Jones getting into the action with a secret Versace and Fendi pairing, set to launch this Sunday, two days after tonight’s show. After Versace $2.1 billion sale<\/a> to Michael Kors parent company, Capri Holdings, and Fendi’s artistic director acquisition of Kim Jones, a man who certainly loves a collaboration, the timing for a fashion spectacle makes perfect sense as the world opens up again. It’s said that a certain pink-haired skater from Gossip Girl acclaim is set to be the face of the mashup but there’s no comment from either camp on the anticipated collaboration.

Glenn Martens Is the Next Designer to Make Gaultier <\/strong>
\nSpeaking of a man who understands the need of strategic collaboration, Jean Paul Gaultier<\/a> still on the heels of his successful couture collection with Sacai’s<\/a> Chitose Abe<\/a> and capsule collections with Ottolinger<\/a>, Palomo Spain<\/a>, and more, announced today the brand will partner with Y\/Project<\/a> and Diesel<\/a> head, Glenn Martens<\/a> on a one-off, couture collection for Spring 2022. Gaultier retired from the runway in January 2020, right before the pandemic hit Europe and the USA and has been focused on working with new and established designers to reinterpret his iconic motifs.
