The latest exhibition, delayed for over a year, is part of a two-part rollout that will be on view from September 18, 2021, through September 5, 2022. Approximately 100 pieces from a wide range of designers like Hood By Air, Carolina Herrera, Christopher John Rogers, Rick Owens, Telfar, Thom Browne, Pyer Moss, and many more were presented in 12 sections Nostalgia, Belonging, Delight, Joy, Wonder, Affinity, Confidence, Strength, Desire, Assurance, Comfort, and Consciousness as a multilayered woven network of what American designers had to offer. To represent the ever-adapting diversity of American fashion and also mark the Institute&#8217;s 75th anniversary, the exhibit will evolve over the next year with designs being rotated in and out.<\/p>\n<p>Part two, In America: An Anthology of Fashion will debut during the normal first Monday in May timeslot throughout the Costume Center and the museum&#8217;s American Wing, featuring men\u2019s and women\u2019s dress dating from the 18th century to the present. Here historic scenery will add to pieces from Charles James, Claire McCardell, and Fannie Criss as mannequins are arranged into three-dimensional scenes like the Battle of Versailles and produced in
