At Woolmark Prize Fashion Show Richard Malone Wins Big <\/strong>
\nAt the tail end of London Fashion Week, the Woolmark Company announced Richard Malone as the winner of its International Woolmark Prize. Malone, who took home the AU$200,000 grand prize, showed his work alongside A-Cold-Wall, Blindness, Bode, Botter, Feng Chen Wang, GmbH, Ludovic de Saint Sernin, Matthew Adams Dolan and Namacheko. \u201cI\u2019m someone who isn\u2019t wholesaling in a traditional way. Usually that\u2019s a component of a prize, so I never think I\u2019d win one of those awards. I hope that for students or younger designers, it will show that you can successfully work outside the fashion system, as that system has become so damaging,\u201d the designer told Vogue. Woolmark’s first-ever Karl Lagerfeld Prize was won by Emily Adams Bode who will receive AU$100,000. [Vogue<\/a>]<\/p>\n
