While London Fashion Week delivered its brood of British bangers\u2013\u2013the Matty Bovans<\/a>, the Molly Goddards<\/a>\u2013\u2013the climate campaign group Extinction Rebellion competed for attention staging disruptive protests, and in many ways succeeded, stealing headlines quicker than influencers filling the FROW. Their message: the fashion industry is in need of \u201cradical transformation\u201d to reduce its impact. So as Riccardo Tisci<\/a> staged his carbon neutral show for Burberry Spring\/Summer 2020, we imagine there was a smize on his face backstage somewhere between you-done-good-kid and remembering the movie FernGully<\/a>. It means the slow-moving behemoth brands are taking actionable steps to address fashion\u2019s role in the climate crisis, especially so on the heels of Gucci\u2019s announcement that the Italian luxury house is now completely carbon neutral. <\/p>\n
