Everything you\u2019ve ever posted becomes public from today, even messages that have been deleted.\u201d So it went. The rest is history\u2013\u2013or a day-long chapter in social media fake news most would just like to forget, referring to the sketchy, vaguely legal post that went viral claiming Instagram had a new photo usage rule and the only protection from the privacy breach was to\u2026repost the text. To be clear, this has never worked since the beginning of posting on the internet. This only had to be said because, without name-shaming, a many venerated industry players and heroes were gullible enough to repost the veritable scarlet letter on their feeds. It was a tell-tale sign of those who didn\u2019t flip their tests over in school to check for more questions.
