Carol Lim & Humberto Leon<\/a> Set to Exit Kenzo<\/a><\/strong>
\nHelming the French brand since 2011, the design pair’s departure from Kenzo after 8 years was announced in a release from LVMH. Leon and Lim, who helped Kenzo widen the reach and influence of Kenzo, are said to be looking to focus on their own brand Opening Ceremony<\/a> in New York. The Spring 2020 collection will be their final show as creative directors for Kenzo, with no one named yet to succeed them at the label. [WWD<\/a>]<\/p>\n

\nSadly, the industry has lost the CEO and founder of Metropolitan Models<\/a> as news of his passing was announced this week. Diana Levaton will continue at the helm of the 30-year-old agency. “He was such a force of nature and guiding star to so many and changed the industry with the same passion and determination as he lived his life,” Metropolitan Models wrote. <\/p>\n

Virgil Abloh<\/a> Retrospective Opens at Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago <\/strong>
\nThe multi-hyphenate designer of Off-White<\/a> and men\u2019s creative director at Louis Vuitton<\/a>, Virgil Abloh, now has a retrospective on at MCA which was curated by Michael Darling and designed by Abloh with the research and design studio AMO. 20 years of work come together for \u201cFigures of Speech\u201d from the Illinois-born artist and collaborator who often traverses genres and industries threading music, fashion, art, and design together into sought-after merchandise.
