\nThe designer who dared to tell the masses that \u201cthey have names<\/a>\u201d and \u201cto stop calling 911 on the culture<\/a>\u201d has won one of the most coveted prizes in American fashion. Early this week, Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss took home the CFDA\/Vogue Fashion Fund that comes with a yearlong mentorship and a $400,000 cash prize. The win stands as a second resurgence for Jean-Raymond who had recently bought back his company from investors and a major win for independent designers. <\/p>\n
