As night fell and daylight rose, the fashion crowd flew in from Milan to Paris for an opening day of shows by Jacquemus, Dior, and Gucci. Yet, our minds were still on Milan and the subtle resurgence of some top 90s and 00s faces that were too noteworthy to pass up. These muses established themselves in the era of excess and grunge, showing what comes with decades-long careers and top catwalk experience. As a welcomed treat in the age of new model turnover, brands like Versace<\/a> surprised guests with Liya Kebede<\/a>, Mariacarla Boscono<\/a>, and the return of Shalom Harlow<\/a>, her first show in more than half a decade. Ferragamo<\/a> had Georgina Grenville<\/a> and bookended its show with Carolyn Murphy<\/a> and Stella Tennant<\/a> while AGNONA<\/a> casted Amber Valletta<\/a> and Tasha Tilberg<\/a> in billowing caftans for the luxury elite. And of course as the week’s events came to a close, chief maximalists and the formen of floral, Dolce & Gabbana<\/a> had to one up the trend inviting Carla Bruni<\/a>, Eva Herzigova<\/a>, Helena Christensen<\/a>, Karen Elson<\/a> and Isabella Rossellini<\/a> (and the fam!) to walk for their show. Is it a return to the familiar or a desire for more decadent times? Your guess it as good as any.<\/p>\n
