Allegations published against Mario Testino and Bruce Weber in New York Times and Business of Fashion, the industry reacts <\/strong>
\nThe New York Times published<\/a> the accounts of numerous allegations against Mario Testino and Bruce Weber on Sunday\u2019s front page. In the article, fifteen former and current male models recounted inappropriate behavior from Bruce Weber during castings and shoots. The article also cites accusations from thirteen male assistants and model against Mario Testino. Cond\u00e9 Nast quickly followed the piece with an announcement they would not commission either photographer for the time being and detailed a new code of conduct that includes a minimum age of 18 for models and a recommendation that models not be left unaccompanied with photographers, stylists, or other team members. On Wednesday, additional claims of sexual misconduct by Bruce Weber were published by the Business of Fashion reporting the accounts of four more former male models. Both photographers deny the claims. [BOF<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Alexander Wang announces soon-to-be absence from NYFW calendar <\/strong>
\nStarting Spring 2019 Alexander Wang will be moving his showings off the NYFW schedule, instead showing on a bi-annual schedule in June and December. He joins a number of designers who are throwing a wrench into the New York calendar like Proenza Schouler, Altuzarra and Thom Browne. Kaia Gerber to design capsule collection with Karl Lagerfeld <\/strong>
\nThe sixteen-year-old model will design a capsule collection of ready-to-wear and accessories with Karl Lagerfeld that will be in stores September. Kaia, daughter of Cindy Crawford, adds the announcement to her recent string of successes, including nabbing a Vogue Paris cover and campaigns for Calvin Klein, Versace, Marc Jacobs Daisy fragrance.
