Who says you need to be in New York to have the fun of a fashion experience? This weekend Mother Management brought the thrills of fashion week to St. Louis with their 3rd annual Tribute STL. The chic showcase brought out a wealth of talent both local and international: from fresh faced newcomers who have yet to hit the runways, to esteemed top models heading back to honor their hometown. Known for their ability to spot quality talent before anyone else, Mother Model’s Jeff & Mary Clarke have launched the careers of everyone from Ashton Kutcher, to industry sensations like Karlie Kloss, Grace Hartzel and Myla Dalbesio, so it is safe to say that the models featured in this year’s Tribute are headed for big things.
With esteemed influencers like casting director Anita Bitton and Next Management’s Kyle Hagler in attendance, budding models were given the unique opportunity to get advice from insiders, but the event provided more than just a chance for models to talk shop. Tribute gave these rising stars the chance to show their skills in front of an enthusiastic audience filled with friends, family, and the local fashion community. The high energy runway show provided a trip through fashion archetypes from disco-era glitz, to gothic glamour, and everything in between. Unlike the staid environment found at most fashion shows, this was a true celebration – complete with all the clapping, laughter, and joyous energy of a party. Guests were treated to not just a night of fashion, but a truly engaging introduction to all the best the industry has to offer: creativity, exuberance, and best of all, fun.
