The second round of memorable moments from SS14 – take a look at the first post here.

CINDY BRUNA

HOMETOWN: Saint-Raphaël, France
SS14 HIGHLIGHTS: Calvin Klein, Balmain, Givenchy, JPG, Alexander McQueen, Victoria’s Secret

MEMORABLE MOMENT: I think my best moment was the Calvin Klein fashion show. Having the Calvin Klein exclusive meant so much to me because I was the first girl to have a Calvin Klein exclusive and this was just amazing. That was my first big show like that and it was I think the best moment. It helped me to understand something and to learn something. Every runway is unique and I always learn something with each new experience, but that show was something special.

VASILISA PAVLOVA

HOMETOWN: St. Petersburg
SS14 HIGHLIGHTS: Dries Van Noten, Dior, John Galliano, Valentino

MEMORABLE MOMENT: I think the most memorable moment for me was everything! I’m just enjoying it all – even the moments when you’re late with fittings and working at night – that doesn’t happen every day. The whole fashion week thing is so exciting. I felt it most when I was doing the finale for Dior with all the dresses – it was just so beautiful, in that moment I just realized what it is all about. It is about celebrating people and celebrating the beauty of women, celebrating our history with these incredible costumes. When we were walking down and I saw the set and the gowns – it just hit me that this is all pretty cool.

IEVA LAGUNA

HOMETOWN: Latvia
SS14 HIGHLIGHTS: Calvin Klein, Tom Ford, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Dries Van Noten, Stella McCartney, Victoria’s Secret

MEMORABLE MOMENT: I would say I really had three of my favorite moments that I never experienced before. First one was Calvin Klein show that was my first time for them and I just love the new studios the location was beautiful the music collection was so fresh it really felt like this is one of my first big shows, this is my time to shine. It felt really great to be back and to be noticed, I felt like all the hard work had paid off.

And the second was Tom Ford. I went to London and I got to meet him in person. He’s really a legend and I just loved his personality, he’s charismatic, smart and of course very talented. He’s interested in so many different things and is so welcoming, I really connected with the way he views the world. Just seeing him work was a privilege. The house itself and the show was so private – everybody had a couch and it’s the hardest to get into so it’s very small and intimate. You walk into the room and it is very quiet, but sexy and with a great feeling. I had this mirrored dress it was super short, made to look like little pieces of glass – so beautiful!

My final moment would be the Victoria’s Secret show. That was my third year and this year I got wings, plus I got to open the Pink section. I think the first girl just gets to surprise everyone about what the look is going to be this year. I kind of felt this energy from the moment I stepped backstage – it was great working with them the third time around.

ANOUK HAGEMEIJER

MEMORABLE MOMENT: I would say my favorite moment was when I got the call saying I was confirmed for a Calvin Klein exclusive. I had been to so many castings and had walked all over New York- when my agent called me and told me I screamed and couldn’t believe it. It was the beginning of many new moments.

HOLLIE MAY SAKER

HOMETOWN: Liverpool
SS14 HIGHLIGHTS: Marc Jacobs, Jonathan Saunders, Burberry, Giles, Mary Katrantzou, Fendi, Gareth Pugh, Chanel, Miu Miu

P1010603

MEMORABLE MOMENT: Everyone expects me to say Nina Ricci, what happened at that show, but my memorable moment was definitely doing the Burberry show – it was amazing. I had glasses on for the finale and I’m so happy I did because when the petals fell I just started crying under the glasses it was beautiful, magical moment I loved it – so proud to have been a part of it.

MIRIAM HANEY

HOMETOWN: Rialto, California
SS14 HIGHLIGHTS: Marc by Marc, Chloe

P1010880

MEMORABLE MOMENT: Well my favorite moment was right after New York Fashion Week. I was on my way to the airport to go back to California and just before the driver got on the highway, my agent calls me and tells me I’m going to Paris to walk for Chloe!  I didn’t have anything packed and I had to go back and get my passport to leave later that night.

MARIANA SANTANA

HOMETOWN: Brazil
SS14 HIGHLIGHTS: Prada, Dries Van Noten, Dior, Celine, Givenchy, McQueen

MEMORABLE MOMENT: When I was confirmed for Prada- that was amazing. I wasn’t even planning on going to Milan and was getting ready to go on vacation. My agents couldn’t get a hold of me and were freaking out. I finally spoke with them and they told me I needed to grab my things and go to Milan right away. I was so shocked! Was so happy to miss my vacation. Walking the show was very surreal and almost a blur. I was very happy.

LUMA GROTHE

HOMETOWN: Santa Catarina, Brazil

MEMORABLE MOMENT:
So the best moment of my season was the Burberry show in the finale when all the petals were coming down and the music was really beautiful and this petal came down like in my eye and fell; I started smiling it was just very beautiful.

MEMORABLE MOMENT: Doing Chanel was an incredible experience for me. I loved the collection, the music, the energy of the show – it made me feel great walking down his runway. I got to wear some really beautiful outfits this season at all the shows and that was great; loved walking for Alexander Wang too – what a great way to start the season.
