Fashion Week Backstage FW08: Day5

Fashion Week Backstage: Day 5

Direct from Backstage, day 5:

Tse‘s presentation was an homage to the Ghost Army of WWII which counted artists, set designers, etc (amongst them,Bill Blass and Ellsworth Kelly) to use artistry to distract the German army from the actual troop movements. The military styling and muted colors were perfect for FW08. The lineup? The newer faces got a chance to shine with this presentation

Dennis Basso‘s 25th anniversary collection proved why he’s so popular with his uptown clientele with swinging furs and embellished dresses. The lineup? The fresh new faces each had a strong runway presence befitting the glamorous collection.

Marc by Marc‘s diffusion line mixed 80’s detailing with his collection of dresses and coats always most wanted by the hip young scenester. The lineup? Always star making for the new models, with the freshest girls and boys in NY.

The Prada party celebrating the Trembled Blossoms animated short film by Miuccia Prada brought out the models and celebrities alike. MDC just missed Lily Donaldson and Caroline Winberg but caught most of the model crowd at the fabulous event.
