Kim Jones Steps Down at Dior
Kim Jones is stepping down as artistic director of Dior Men after a seven-year tenure, marking a significant shift for the brand. His departure comes amid growing speculation that Jonathan Anderson may be next in line for the role. The news follows Jones’ recent Dior Fall 2025 menswear show and his receipt of the Knight of the Legion of Honor, France’s highest civilian decoration. Reflecting on his time at Dior, Jones said “It was a true honor to have been able to create my collections within the house of Dior, a symbol of absolute excellence. I express my deep gratitude to my studio and the ateliers who have accompanied me on this wonderful journey. They have brought my creations to life. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the artists and friends I have met through my collaborations. Lastly, I feel sincere gratitude towards Bernard and Delphine Arnault, who have given me their full support.”Jones’ exit from Dior comes just three months after he stepped down as artistic director of Fendi’s womenswear and couture collections, a position he held for four years. While his successor at Fendi has yet to be named, Silvia Venturini Fendi is overseeing all collections in the interim. [WWD]
Glenn Martens Is The New Creative Director of Maison Margiela
Known for his mastery of reconstructed denim and trompe l’œil silhouettes, Glenn Martens has consistently left us wanting more at Y/Project each season. Now, he steps into a new chapter as the creative director of Maison Margiela, succeeding the legendary John Galliano, who led the house for a decade. Martens will continue his role as creative director of Diesel. OTB chairman Renzo Rosso said, “I have worked with Glenn for years, I have witnessed his talent, and I know what he is capable of. After Martin, who gave life to the Maison and its unique Artisanal line, and John, who made it the most cutting-edge couture house in the world, I am proud to have a third couturier at its helm. Glenn, who studied at Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts like Martin, has already shown his prowess and his vision in couture.” The appointment comes after months of speculation, particularly following Martens’ departure from Y/Project in September 2024. He spent 11 years at the Paris-based label, which has since shuttered. [Vogue Business]
