Known for her bold creativity and celebrated designs worn by Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Beyoncé, Ban’s influence was a palpable presence. Born in Singapore, her private label, Lynn Ban Jewelry, became a fixture in the wardrobes of global superstars and graced Vogue’s famed September issue in 2018. Ban’s son, Sebastian, announced her passing on Instagram, sharing a heartfelt tribute to his mother’s resilience, love, and unwavering spirit. “She always had a smile on her face, even when times were tough during her recovery process,” he wrote, adding, “I will miss you forever.” Friends and collaborators, including Dorothy Wang and Rihanna, have expressed their grief, with Rihanna calling Ban a “fairy godmother” and a source of light. Ban, who shared her life with husband and business partner, Jett Kain, celebrated 30 years of partnership earlier this year.
