Co-Founder of Dazed, Rankin Showcases Photographs From 1991 to 2001 in New Exhibition
Fashion photographer and cofounder of Dazed, Rankin has a new exhibition on display titled “Back in the Dazed,” at 180 Studios at 180 The Strand running from May 28th to June 23rd. Through his years at the indie magazine between 1991 and 2001, he photographed cult celebrities, musical icons, and the world’s top supermodels, like Jude Law, David Bowie, and Kate Moss, among others. It was from that time that I learnt that I love what I do, and I fell in love with the people around me – capturing them all on medium format film.” Rankin co-founded Dazed & Confused with Jefferson Hack in 1992, and has since published AnOther and AnOther Man, in 2011 launching the magazine and digital platform, Hunger. His work has appeared in over 40 monograph publications and has been exhibited internationally, including at The National Portrait Gallery, London, V&A, London, and at MoMA, New York.
