As we await his debut as creative director of Ann Demeulemeester, Ludovic de Saint Sernin worked in acts of three for his eponymous offering for F/W 23, a return to the menswear calendar. Much like an Instagram’s three-photo, triptych set-up, the LdSS signature sexy glam multiplied details like eyelet-punched, monographed moments, graphite frayed denim, onyx tailored shirting, slate threadbare knits, and a heavy proclivity for sensual leather. Styled by Jacob K, cheeky flashes of undergarments were not to be upstaged by thigh-grazing, pleated minis while a Swarovski-crystalized skort paired with a see-through top was particularly hedonic on Indiana Van’t Slot. A strong casting led by DMCASTING heads Piergiorgio Del Moro and Samuel Ellis Scheinman was opened by Fernando Lindez, closed by Alex Consani, featuring Irina Shayk, Mila van Eeten, Sacha Quenby, Mamuor Majeng, Adut Akech, Alva Claire, Sherry Shi, Mathieu Simoneau, Mika Schneider, Jordan Daniels, and Wu Guoqiang.
