Met Gala Announces Co-Chairs
As spring approaches so does the First Monday in May, aka the annual Met Gala, which provides a large sum of funding for the Costume Institute. The theme for this year, In America: An Anthology of Fashion is a continuation of last year’s exhibition on American fashion with the official co-chairs of Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Lin-Manuel Miranda announced this week. The events honorary co-chairs are head of Instagram Adam Mosseri, Designer Tom Ford, and Vogue’s Anna Wintour and will open to the public on May 7th. [Vogue]

Maximilian Davis Is The New Creative Director of Ferragamo
A year after Paul Andrew abruptly left the Italian house Salvatore Ferragamo as creative director, the luxury brand announced its new creative head in charge is Maximilian Davis. The news coincides with Davis pulling out of the 2022 LVMH Prize as he was picked as a semifinalist for his brand, Maximilian. “I am deeply honored to be joining Ferragamo and grateful for the opportunity to build on the rich and profound heritage of the house. Ferragamo represents a dedication to timeless elegance and sophistication that I find incredibly inspiring. I’m looking forward to articulating my vision, elevated by the codes of Italian craftsmanship, quality, and innovation.” [WWD]

Telfar Is Set to Open First Store in NYC

Andy Warhol Docuseries Is Out
“The Andy Warhol Diaries” debuted on Netflix last week and is a docuseries narrated from Andy Warhol’s voice by using artificial intelligence to depict his accent based on his diary entries edited by his longtime friend, Pat Hackett. Director Andrew Ross said, “The combination of the raw vulnerability that [Warhol] was expressing in his words and the intimacy of his voice felt so special that I wanted to preserve that for the viewer, and not have it mediated by an actor or another narrators’ interpretation of his voice.” [Another Magazine]
