MFW Returns, Yeezy Gap x Balenciaga Drops, and more of the news you missed

Milan Fashion Week Begins
We’re almost at the final home stretch of fashion month as Milan Fashion Week is finally upon us. Big league names like Bottega Veneta and Gucci who’ve skipped MFW in the past, are back on schedule to present their F/W 22 collections, to much fanfare. Gucci already happened this morning with a stacked front row including an expecting Rihanna and ASAP Rocky. The Bottega show will be one to watch out for as this will be Matthieu Blazy’s debut as creative director for the luxury brand and to promote the show, the company created an app called “Simply Bottega Veneta.” MFW has already made a frenzy with Prada’s F/W 22 show cast bringing Kaia Gerber, Hunter Schafer, and Kendall Jenner to the Milan runways and Glenn Martens of Diesel’s Y2K abstract space moment.

Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga Launches
The highly anticipated collab from Ye, Demna of Balenciaga, and Gap is finally here. The first 8 looks of the collection were released on Wednesday the 23rd, and featured oversized silhouettes and face coverings available here and on Farfetch, the 17 other pieces will be released later this year. When speaking about the new line, Demna said, “this is a very different challenge. I’ve always appreciated the utilitarianism and the accessibility of Gap. I share some of the same sensibilities in my creative language. This project allowed me to join forces [with Ye] to create utilitarian fashion for all.” [Vogue]

Nobu Launches an Eponymous Magazine
It’s no secret that many publications are leaving the print industry; on the other hand, luxury restaurant Nobu founded by celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro, and Meir Teper, are entering the industry with a new magazine named after the restaurant. In partnership with Nobleman Magazine’s custom publishing division, the debut issue of the quarterly magazine will be released in June and distributed at Nobu restaurants and hotels worldwide, and available for purchase through subscriptions.
