Designer Collabs Are Plenty This Season, Kering is Officially Fur-free, and more news you missed

Versace and Fendi Are Mashing Up
Two heads are better than one in fashion this year and three marks a trend, what with Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons teaming up, a Balenciaga and Gucci “hacking”, and now Donatella and Kim Jones getting into the action with a secret Versace and Fendi pairing, set to launch this Sunday, two days after tonight’s show. After Versace $2.1 billion sale to Michael Kors parent company, Capri Holdings, and Fendi’s artistic director acquisition of Kim Jones, a man who certainly loves a collaboration, the timing for a fashion spectacle makes perfect sense as the world opens up again. It’s said that a certain pink-haired skater from Gossip Girl acclaim is set to be the face of the mashup but there’s no comment from either camp on the anticipated collaboration.

Kering’s Stable is Officially Fur-free
Kering Paris has been gradually weaning itself off the fur market and announced Friday it is officially done with fur from the Fall 2022 season onward. The policy will apply to any new fashion or accessory brand Kering might acquire in the future. It has been an ongoing effort from the brand to wind down from the fur market after many of its fashion brands already halted the use of fur, starting with Gucci in 2017 and following with Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, and Alexander McQueen. Saint Laurent and Brioni were the remaining brands to occasionally use animal fur. Chairman and CEO of Kering, François-Henri Pinault said “Going entirely fur-free as a group is just the right thing to do: we do it out of conviction, for the sake of ethics and modernity.”

Supermodel Linda Evangelista Says CoolSculpting Left Her Physically & Emotionally Damaged
Iconic 90s supermodel Linda Evangelista has been living a rather reclusive life for the past 5 years, and now the public finally knows why. Evangelista says that after undergoing Zeltiq’s CoolSculpting procedure, she was left “brutally disfigured” and unrecognizable due to the unfortunate procedure. The Canadian supermodel reacted to a side-effect of the fat-freezing cosmetic method and was diagnosed with paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, which, according to Evangelista made “the fat cells in the treatment site grow larger rather than smaller”. The model has filed a lawsuit against Zeltiq Aesthetics Inc., in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and is looking for compensatory damages of $50 million. “PAH has not only destroyed my livelihood, but it has also sent me into a cycle of deep depression, profound sadness, and the lowest depths of self-loathing,” said Linda Evangelista.
