Fresh off her 2021 win of the prestigious LVMH Prize, rising womenswear designer Nensi Dojaka had all eyes on her this past Friday in London with her first solo show after being under the Fashion East wing. She continued her delicate exploration of the female form, recreating her signature cutout, semi-sheer and strappy pieces in petal pinks, browns, and sultry blacks that are itching to be worn in a post-lockdown, carnal world. Her DNA of simplified sexy that amplifies the female curve was further expanded as oversized blazers, tailored high-waisted pants, and swimwear joined her lingerie-influenced repertoire. Kiki Willems opened a superbly strong casting led by casting director Julia Lange with Jean Campbell closing, and Nyaueth Riam, Nora Attal, Kesewa Aboah, Lindsey Wixson, Jess Maybury, Maryel Uchida, and Precious Kevin bringing the seductive silhouettes to life.
